Dogecoin (DOGE) is a meme cryptocurrency launched on December 6, 2013, a fork of Litecoin and Luckycoin. It uses the Scrypt Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm and since July 2014 supports Auxiliary Proof-of-Work (AuxPoW), allowing merged mining with Litecoin.
